Common Questions
-
Our online retreats are structured yet flowing experiences. We begin with a gentle check-in and grounding practice. Then, we explore carefully selected poems together, followed by guided writing prompts that help you connect with your inner voice. You'll learn practical poetry therapy and expressive writing techniques you can use at home, and there's always space for reflection and optional sharing in our supportive circle.
-
Absolutely! Poetry therapy isn't about writing perfect poems - it's about using poetic practices for self-discovery and expression. No previous writing or poetry experience is needed. We focus on the process of engaging with poetry as a tool for personal growth, not on crafting polished pieces.
-
Just bring a notebook you enjoy writing in, your favorite pen, and an open mind. All other materials are provided, and you'll receive a digital toolkit of practices to continue your journey at home. Many participants also like to bring a warm drink to create a cozy atmosphere.
-
Never. While we create a safe and supportive space for sharing, it's always optional. Many participants find they naturally want to share as they become comfortable, but you're welcome to keep your writing private and simply listen to others if you prefer.
-
We understand that life can be unpredictable. If you need to cancel, you can receive a full refund up to 48 hours before the workshop. Alternatively, you can transfer your registration to a future retreat date.
-
Yes! Participants often report that the practices they learn help them navigate both personal and professional challenges with more clarity and confidence. The skills of deep listening, authentic expression, and reflective practice are valuable in all areas of life.
-
To ensure personal attention and create a safe, intimate space, we limit our retreats to 8 participants. This allows for meaningful connection and ensures everyone who wishes to share has the opportunity to do so.
